CUVC: The upcoming 2025/2026 season

As with every new season, step one is always try-outs! For any and all prospective team members, trials will be happening on the 11^th of October. Men’s will be from 4pm-6pm at Kelsey Kerridge Sports Hall. Women’s will be from 6pm to 8pm at the University Sports Centre. For newcomers to the club and veterans alike, we can’t wait to see you!

For those either unsuccessful or not quite ready to try out, don’t worry! We have a very active development squad, including coached sessions from CUVC members. These take place on Fridays 2pm-4pm, and Thursdays 9am-11am. Information relating to how to the group chat will be released slightly closer to the start of Michaelmas, so stay tuned!

As per usual, each team will be competing in BUCS tournaments in their respective Leagues, and Varsity will be taking place during Lent term 2026. Hopefully Beach Varsity will also be coming back for another round in Easter term 2026. Dates are TBC for both tournaments. Let’s try and outdo ourselves from last year and go for a 4-0 against Oxford!

In other news, the club is hoping to secure even more sponsors to help us along our way. Last year we were sponsored by both Nanna Mexico, and Savino’s. We’re hoping that, with our newly appointed sponsor’s officer, we’ll be able to add even more sponsors to that list.
